From Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc a young, elegant and refreshing Tuscan white wine, deriving its name from the vineyard, ''Sassaia'', a stony field on the Virginio Creek right bank.
 
Elevation-Exponsure :  140 m (460 ft) a.s.l.-South/South-west
Soil :  Very stony soil - ''sassaia'' - of calcaroeous conglomerates, well drained.
Training System :  Cordon trained (Chardonnay), Guyot (Sauvignon)
Vines per Hectare 3300-4700
Grape Varieties :  Chardonnay 60% Sauvignon 40%
Harvest :  September 10th to 20th
Wine Making  :  In vats - Maturing in the bottle for at least two months.
Maturing In tini - Maturing in the bottle for at least two months.
